Dear Soccer Player,
Becoming a Better Soccer Player is one of the greatest desires of all because every team in the land is screaming out for players that can perform under the many ups and downs that soccer will throw at you.
Many players fail along the way because they do not have the mental ability to cope with those demands.
Yes, they are technically gifted.
Yes, they have great tactical awareness.
So why don't they make it to the top? What stops them getting to the place we can all see they should be heading to? THEMSELVES.
Thank you for all the tips that you have given me!!!
I really appreciate them i am now starting to practise them bit by bit in a match situation and i can see slight improvement from before i took the tips and i think these improvements will increase so thanks once again for everything!!

It sounds harsh and unfair, but in most of the cases that I have witnessed (and that's a few!) these players
just needed the right guidance. That's not to say that even with correct guidance they would have made it to the top, but it would have cetainly given them a much higher chance of succeeding.
So What Do We Need to Learn to Become Better Players?
Obviously, we need good physical and tactical skills. A good awareness of the game and good communication skills - that is the ability to communicate effectively with your team mates on the pitch.
But more than that, you need excellent Mental Strength.
Mental Strength will help you when you get:
- criticism from your coach
- criticism from family and friends
- criticism from fans and players
- flash points in the game
- an injury and help cope with it
- left on the bench - coping with non-selection
This list is not exhaustive, but it gives you an idea of what is required from players who want to succeed and create themselves the opportuntiy to make it to the top. Yes, it's you who will either give or not give yourself the chance to succeed. Ultimately the decision is yours if you want to make it or not.
”...I am a footballer trying to become a professional. I have just come off a trial at a professional club.
Throughout my many years experience i have witnessed coaches who have taught pointless exercises, that i believe do a terrible injustice to ambitious footballers!
I think your advice is excellent, informative, and empowering. Where have you been all my life. Lol
Im joking, but keep up the good work, footballers need more people that care, plus have specialised knowledge!”
